Craftsmanship, Design, and Perspective ICFF New York City 2019

The International Contemporary Furniture Fair took over NYC this week and it was everything we wanted and more. Showcasing high-end interiors with over 900 exhibitors from over 60 countries there was so much to see. From perfect one of a kind pieces, collaborations, and collections, there was something for every room of your project or home. With so many options it is hard to narrow down favorite finds, but a few stood out as we meandered around. Let's take a quick peek!

The Iris mirror is a captivating piece. It definitely made us stop and stare. There is something about it that truly draws you in. The Iris is the part of the eye that changes and controls our perception of light, shapes, and colors. This mirror brings those features to the forefront through its lacquer, palisander wood veneer, golf leaf, and its unique convex mirror. A spectacular piece by Brabbu!

The Lopiaz Oval Center Table by Boca Do Lobo...yes, please! I first saw this piece at the new Covet House showroom and was thrilled to see it brought out for ICFF. A fabulous polished stainless steel exterior and poplar root veneer interior are a dynamic combination showing off the design and craftsmanship this table brings forward. What an addition to any space!

The Beam Family series by Brendan Ravenhill was their take on the classic "shop lamp", and we were happy to see these in person. Out with the fluorescent tubes and in with high efficiency LEDs. Mixed with a material palette of plywood, extruded aluminum, and rolled acrylic, they are able to create a refined linear fixture that casts an even flattering glow. We can't get enough of the fixtures strong silhouette and soft glow.

Kohler Konnect allows consumers to personalize their experience through app presets. Consumers can automate everyday tasks in the kitchen and bath through voice control. The Sensate kitchen faucet allows you to turn the water on, off, and dispense water to a measured volume with simple voice commands. You can also use touch-less motion-based movements. Hands free voice control has now reached your kitchen faucet, and we are all about this convenience for both ourselves and clients!

There was so much to be inspired by at this years ICFF and we can't wait to see what is created with all the fabulous finds and launches. See you next year ICFF!
