A DESIGNER’S DREAM HOME
Best & Company helps to bring Damon Liss’s vision to life in Tribeca
Best & Company's latest residential renovation project with Damon Liss Design hits close to home—in the designer's own Tribeca apartment.
Our general contracting and specialty millwork teams are especially proud that, when it came time to bring his own design vision to reality, Liss turned to the professionals he’s entrusted to bring his clients’ dreams to life many times before. “For Damon, who established his interior design firm in 2002, it was a dream project,” Julie-Earle Levine reports in the New York Post’s well-followed Real Estate section. “It was the kind of work his company is known for — a gut renovation and design incorporating a great mix of vintage and contemporary pieces.”

Liss made the well-situated duplex—located in a landmarked building overlooking historic Duane Park—more comfortable for modern New York life with:
-
more spacious, better-organized closets (something no Manhattan dweller ever has enough of);
-
a bespoke bookcase wall that creates the effect of a cozy paneled library in a single wall, without blocking light or impeding the traffic flow;
-
and a high-functioning custom kitchen, with a sitting area overlooking the loft’s open dining room with a built-in bar/sidebar/storage, which serves as the center of family life.
Beautiful wall coverings, paint colors, and lighting throughout the four-bedroom home bring subtle changes of mood to every room. We’re proud of the results our white-glove contracting and custom millwork teams helped Damon Liss to achieve in this dream project, and we wish the Liss family many happy years in their new home.
At Best & Company, we’re privileged to work closely with some of the New York metropolitan area’s most talented architects, interior designers, and their clients to create, renovate, manage, and maintain one-of-a-kind residential interiors. Headquartered in Manhattan, our general contracting and construction management teams place top priority on professional service, transparent communications, and seamless demolition-to-decoration execution—fabricating custom millwork, cabinetry, and details in our own Long Island City workshops.
We look forward to helping make your dreams come true, too. We’d love to hear from you.
