Bringing Hollywood Glamour to New York City!

Happy almost Spring from all of us at Best & Company! We are ready for the sunshine to arrive and can't wait for it to drench the gorgeous Goop Lab now open in Soho. Having had the pleasure of working on previous Goop pop-up shops, we were thrilled to work with the Goop team again. A truly dynamic team was assembled to bring Gwyneth Paltrow's beauty, wellness, and lifestyle brand to life here in New York City. We could not have been happier to have been apart of the experience along with 2019 AD100 Commune Design and Smith & Architects!
Commune's co-founder Steven Johanknecht was inspired by Old Hollywood Glamour and created a design blending New York and L.A, reflecting on the glam residential homes of Los Angeles in the 1930's. Mixing materials such as stone, hardwood, brass, velvet, and mirror gave each distinct area of the store its own vibe. Our favorite space is the jewelry box where the design becomes more Deco. Custom designed cases of silvered tabour wood are lined with brass detailing, and the California theme continues through the space with an oversize leaf mural by Louis Eisner that plays on the famous Beverly Hills Hotel pattern.
